Description
Welcome back to The Student Physio Podcast. Hosted by Connor Wright and Lewis Cowan we are joined by Physiotherapy lecturer Thomas Marshall. Tom qualified in 2007 after working in steel construction for 8 years, was an MSK Physio, and is now a lecturer at the University of Bradford. Over the last 14 years, he has worked across a variety of settings from orthopaedics, paediatrics, sport, MSK, and private healthcare and during this time has developed an interest in pain and how we work with people in pain. In this episode, we explore how chronic pain develops, the pathophysiology, and motivational interviewing, and commitment therapy as methods of treatment for chronic pain.
