2. Usage data

This refers to the personal data collected and processed about you when you’re accessing or using the CastVibes Service. Instances of this include:

  • Content you post to any part of the CastVibes Service. For example: images, comments, text, and other types of content
2.1 Uploaded media and access to storage space

CastVibes mobile application may also request access to your storage in order for you to download audio files and upload your profile photo. Any media uploaded in this fashion will be collected and stored on our servers and will be used for the maintenance of your account only.

2.2 Listening Statistics

As part of the streaming history, we may track the listening habits of our users in order to better our customized services over time. This includes tracking the files every user listens to at different times, mapping unique IP addresses to non-precise locations. The data collected in this manner is used to customize the listening experience of the user, offer recommendations and identify the most popular media every month.

2.3 Payment and purchase data

If you make any purchases from CastVibes or sign up for a paid Service Option or a trial, we will need to process your payment data. The exact personal data collected and used will vary depending on the payment method. It will include information such as:

  • Name on card
  • Date of birth
  • Payment method type (e.g. credit or debit card)
  • If using a debit or credit card, the card type, expiration date, and certain digits of your card number. For security, if you use the payment options other than PayPal to make your purchase, we never store your full card number and information, we only use them to process your purchase at the time.

  • Details of your purchase and payment history

We will only use this data to process your payment and provide you with the service you’ve purchased.

Receiving CastVibes notifications requires access confirmation from you. These messages will either be sent by the content managers to inform you or automatically to inform you of the update of a channel (such as a podcast) that you are following.
