The Birth of Planets

We know quite a lot about the origin of the Universe. Yet we do not know whether life exists outside our own solar system. What is, however, clear is that many stars host planetary systems, some of which include Earth-like planets. At the LMU Observatory, Professor Barbara Ercolano seeks to understand the conditions in which such “exoplanets” evolved.
