Bonus: Interview with governor candidate Dave Bronson

Alaska Public Media state government reporter Eric Stone is back with another in our series of interviews with the leading candidates for governor. Today, we’ll hear from Republican candidate Dave Bronson. He spent one term as mayor of Anchorage from 2021 until he lost his reelection bid in 2024. Bronson is also an Air Force veteran and former commercial pilot running in a crowded field of conservative Republicans. And he’s leaning into his experience as mayor — while also acknowledging that he made mistakes during his time leading Alaska’s largest city.
