The Weaponization of Social Media

Facebook recently announced it's taking down over 800 hundred U.S. based accounts and pages, in part for spreading false or misleading political information, which is happening just weeks before the Midterm elections. The use of fake social media accounts to push political messages is a dark tool not only used in this country but in various parts of the world. A new book, "LikeWar: The Weaponization of Social Media" shows the global influence of powerful sites like Facebook and Twitter.
