Ep. 179 When friends Dare to talk about God

Let's Start Healing

Description
Note about this episode: About 20 minutes into this conversation, something strange happened. My power suddenly went out with a loud boom as if it was raining, even though the sun was shining.  When the power came back, my internet kept dropping. My guest Jacqueline Drumwright and I were disconnected three, four… maybe five times during this recording. But she stayed patient, and somehow we were able to keep the flow and capture the entire conversation. A friend later asked if maybe that was a sign I wasn't supposed to have this talk, but I felt the opposite. I was determined to see it through, and I'm so glad we did. About the conversation: Do you find it easy to talk with friends about God? This episode began with a spontaneous phone call. I was having a spiritual epiphany, deep in thought about God, when my friend Jacqueline called. In that moment, I invited her to join me on the podcast to talk about what was on my heart. Jacqueline — who is an educator in North Carolina — and I have some real differences in how we see things spiritually, yet this conversation turned out to be rich, thought‑provoking, and insightful. Even in our differences, we found a way to communicate with love and respect. And I'm grateful for friends like Jackie who remind me that's possible.
