Steal My Name Ep 47 The Lawnmower Man

Noirvember continues with episode 47 of The Steal My Name Podcast. It’s time for some cyberpunk primer with Brett Leonard’s Stephen King-less King adaptation, The Lawnmower Man. While it may have next to nothing to do with its namesake story, and may be a little silly (I’m looking at you, early 90’s CG) the film acts as a great gateway for young film fans to find their way into the dark city streets of cyberpunk. With examinations of power, near magical computers, and a shirtless Pierce Brosnan smoking and drinking non stop, what’s not to love? Deep Space Nine wraps up a dynamite 2-parter with season 3, episode 2, The Search Part 2. And we end with a look at the near mythical tome that provided the title for this weeks movie, Stephen King’s Night Shift.
