Dr. Xiang Cheng, MD, PhD is the Deputy Chairman of Youth Committee of Chinese Society of Cardiology (CSC), the Director of Department of Cardiology at Union Hospital, Tongji Medical College, Huazhong University of Science & Technology. Based on his experience in Wuhan, China, Dr. Cheng shares strategies that emergency departments and healthcare systems around the world can do to prepare for COVID-19 patient surges. Learning Objectives: 1.) Discuss how emergency departments can plan for surges of patients with COVID-19. 2.) Review strategies for building emergency department capacity. 3.)
