She studied translation at Damascus University and worked in the field in Syria before moving to Germany ten years ago. She has been in Berlin for two years now, currently pursuing a master’s degree in international relations. She loves all children of the world and plants flowers wherever she goes.Her parents are Kurds—her father is from Al-Darbasiyah, and her mother is from Qamishli. She left Syria in late 2012 because her father was wanted by the regime. She arrived in Germany and lived in Cologne, where she studied political science in Freiburg before moving to Berlin for her master’s degree.We will be discussing all these details and more in this episode, so stay tuned!
