The Eight Verses of Thought Transformation by Langri Tangpo, beautifully illustrate the reality that in the Buddhist literature mind and heart are not separate; rather a sacred complex of one mind/heart. Seating oneself firmly in the sacredness of mind/heart allows full extension of the Bodhisattvic commitment to develop Bodhichitta, the altruistic intention to attain enlightenment for the sake of all sentient beings. The Eight Verses form a practical manual for developing the Bodhisattvic principles expressed by the Ten Paramis: generosity, virtue, renunciation, wisdom (liberating understanding through meditation), enthusiasm/vitality, patience, truthfulness, determination, lovingkindness, equanimity/compassion. This interactive sound artwork provides a threshold through which we can each enter into the sacred heart of the Bodhisattva.
