In Episode 46 of The Startup Playbook Podcast, my guest is Simon Julian, the General Manager and Head of Monetisation at Sitepoint.

Sitepoint is one of the world’s large online communities for Web Developers. It has been a pillar of the Victorian startup ecosystem since launching in 1999 with numerous successful spinoffs such as 99Designs and Flippa coming out of the business.

Prior to Sitepoint, Simon was Head of B2B partnerships at Lonely Planet and spent several years in the agency space as Managing Partner of Areeba and GM of Reactive.

In the interview we cover a wide range of topics including how to develop effective partnerships with large organisations, how to create an internal structure for growth, testing for cultural fit in new hires and content creation and distribution strategies.
